Janet Raimondo is the Global Head Legal Transactions at Novartis and is dual-based in both Switzerland and the USA. Janet joined Novartis in June 2020 and leads a large global team of lawyers responsible for managing and executing enterprise-wide strategic transactions (including M&A, BD&L, alliances and divestments) and providing regulatory and other advice (including global antitrust, foreign direct investment and IP transactions). Janet is a member of the Novartis Security and Legal Leadership Team and reports directly to Karen Hale, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer for Novartis. Janet is also a member of the Strategy and Growth Leadership Team. Prior to joining Novartis, Janet was a senior executive at IBM Corporation and a corporate associate at a leading NYC law firm, Willkie Farr and Gallagher. Prior to law school, she was an analyst at a major NYC bank. Janet earned a JD from St. John’s University School of Law and a BA in Biology from Williams College.
