James Roe

Hailing from Ireland with a dream of racing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and the Indianapolis 500, James Roe began his American racing journey in 2018 in the F2000 Championship Series before moving into the FIA Formula Regional Americas Championship and USF Pro 2000 Championship. After a partial 2022 INDY NXT by Firestone season that saw the sole Irish driver in the field score four top-10 finishes in 11 starts, Roe made his full season debut in the development series in 2023 with the Andretti INDY NXT team. The 14 -race 2023 season saw Roe score his first INDY NXT podium on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as four top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. Roe kicked off his 2024 season with a podium finish in INDY NXT’s second round at the physically demanding Barber Motorsports Park and a top-five finish to open the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. After a strong start to the year, Roe suffered a wrist injury at the Detroit Grand Prix only five races into the season. Determined to continue competing, he underwent minimally invasive surgery and was able to complete the full 14 -race calendar. The Irish driver made an impressive comeback at Iowa Speedway, scoring his first INDY NXT career pole position in track record -breaking fashion and translating that into his second podium finish of the season. Roe finished the 2024 season with seven top -10 and five top-five finishes.
