Ivan Burnside is the Chief Patent Counsel for International Litigation at Eli Lilly, where he has held various roles since 2001. He is a chartered patent attorney and a European patent attorney. He was previously recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Influential People in IP by Managing IP in 2020 and his team won IP Team of the Year at the European Counsel Awards by Lexology and the Association of Corporate Counsel in 2018. Ivan has a PhD in Chemistry and a degree in National Science from the University of Cambridge.
