Hana Samet, MSc

Hana Samet is Co-founder and CTO of TheraMe!, an Swiss EPFL spin-off developing innovative approaches to personalized cancer therapy. She is an alumna of the EPFL, where she earned a Master’s degree in Microengineering, focusing on bridging engineering innovation with clinical applications. Since 2018, she has been active in the startup ecosystem and has been involved in several startup projects, mainly in the medtech space. From 2021 to 2023, she worked at the Biomedical Microfluidics Laboratory at EPFL, where she led the development of TheraMe!’s core microfluidic technology, advancing it from early ideation to functional prototypes. Her work focuses on the design and patenting of microfluidic devices for analyzing live tumor samples and assessing drug responses. As CTO at TheraMe!, since the company’s incorporation, she has translated the foundational research developed in the lab into scalable products, driving its evolution toward clinical and industrial applications, including the development of a medical device under ISO standards and progress toward manufacturing and certification. In parallel, since July 2024, she has served as a Board Member of the Swiss Startup Association, supporting the Suisse Romandie startup ecosystem.
