Grace Han McMahon leads Merck’s Pacific Business Development & Licensing team in South San Francisco and Tokyo. Her team focuses on early- stage therapeutic opportunities to bring into Merck’s pipeline across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities through collaborations, licensing and M&A. Prior to re-joining Merck in 2018, Grace led a team of deal attorneys at Genentech for five years structuring and negotiating various collaboration, licensing, M&A and manufacturing transactions. She started her career in biopharma at Merck’s headquarters in New Jersey in 2003. Grace serves on the Board of California Life Sciences and is a member of the Council for Korean Americans. She holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD, a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
