As the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) official representative to the United States, based in San Francisco, François serves as the principal liaison connecting deep-tech startups with the US innovation ecosystem, with a primary focus on Silicon Valley. Previously, François was Chief of Staff to the EIC and SMEs Executive Agency Director.
With more than 15 years of expertise in European research and innovation programmes across both public and private sectors, he brings strategic and international experience. Before joining the European Commission in 2014, François spent six years at the Association Nationale Recherche et Technologie in Paris, France.
He holds a Master/LL.M. degree in International and European Economic Law from the Universities of Strasbourg and Luxembourg.
