Dr. Fadi S. Al-Buhairan is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Lifera, a biopharmaceutical company wholly owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). Lifera is dedicated to advancing the Kingdom’s biopharmaceutical sector, strengthening national health resilience, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a global hub for biotechnology and life sciences.
As Group CEO, Dr. Al-Buhairan leads Lifera’s next phase of growth as a national biopharma champion, focused on developing world-class biopharmaceutical capabilities, localizing critical biopharmaceutical innovation, building national talent and expertise, and fostering strategic partnerships that contribute to the broader healthcare and life sciences ecosystem.
Dr. Al-Buhairan brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare, technology, logistics, government, and large-scale strategic transformation initiatives at the global, regional, and national levels. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for building and scaling complex organizations, advancing national platforms, driving operational excellence, and translating strategic vision into sustainable institutional capability.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University, as well as master’s degrees in Information Systems and Technology and Information Studies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
