Erin Abramsohn, DrPH

Dr. Erin Abramsohn brings 20 years of public service experience to her role as Executive Director of the Infectious Disease Prevention Network (IDPN), including 15 years with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Throughout her career, she has led cross sector collaborations between public health and health care systems, strengthening national efforts to reduce the harms of tobacco use, expand equitable access to vaccines, and respond effectively to global public health emergencies.
Dr. Abramsohn has served as a trusted expert on Medicare and Medicaid policy, federal and state health strategy, and partnerships with private sector stakeholders. Her work has consistently focused on building durable systems that protect and improve population health.
At IDPN, Dr. Abramsohn leads the organization’s efforts to build enduring advocacy infrastructure, mobilize the diverse pro vaccine community, and strengthen state level capacity to protect vaccine access for all people. Under her leadership, IDPN coordinates resources, equips advocates, and advances strategic policy initiatives to ensure families and communities remain protected from vaccine preventable diseases.
She is committed to using her experience in public health policy, partnerships, and organizational leadership to defend access to essential health services – particularly vaccines – and to champion evidence based policies that safeguard community health.
Dr. Abramsohn holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa, as well as a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of North Carolina’s Executive Doctoral Program in Health Leadership.
