Eric Luellen is an accomplished American businessman, scientist, and serial entrepreneur. He founded and currently serves as the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Turing Biosciences. Previously, he served as the CTIO of a microbiome company backed by Gates Ventures, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Johnson & Johnson Ventures. His earlier career highlights include leading AI innovation at a listed FTSE 100 medtech firm.
Luellen was a global finalist for the 2016 C3 Prize at Stanford MedX, and won the 2017 American Startupbootcamp Digital Health Accelerator in China. He is also a published author in AI and has contributed original research in AI applications to biology. His published work in peer-reviewed journals has twice been ranked in the top 5% of impact by Altmetric scores.
Luellen has an educational background that spans liberal arts to health informatics, public health and medical sciences from American University, Northwestern University, and University of Massachusetts–Amherst. He has also studied medical sciences at Harvard University. His continued education includes advanced certificates from Wharton, MIT Sloan, Columbia, Caltech, and Harvard Law School.
Luellen is a father of three and a four-time founder who lives near Boston.
