Eric Kelsic, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of Dyno Therapeutics. Prior to founding Dyno, Eric led the team that developed the core technology behind Dyno’s AI-powered design platform in George Church’s lab at the Wyss Institute, Harvard Medical School, where he measured the first comprehensive fitness landscape of the AAV capsid and co-discovered the AAV MAAP gene.
He earned his Ph.D. in Systems Biology from Harvard University and his B.S. in Physics from Caltech. Under his leadership, Dyno has raised over $100 million in venture funding, including a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and established strategic partnerships with Novartis, Sarepta, Roche, Spark, and Astellas. Dyno was named "Xconomy’s 2020 Startup of the Year", and Eric was recognized among Endpoints News’ “20 under 40” next-generation biotech leaders* in 2021.
A frequent keynote speaker at major scientific and industry conferences, Eric has shared insights on AI-enabled discovery and next-generation gene therapy platforms at BIO International Convention, SynBioBeta, ASGCT, Gene Therapy CNS, and the UC San Diego Gene Therapy Symposium.
