Durhane Wong-Rieger is a highly accomplished advocate for rare disease patients. She holds various leadership positions, including President & CEO of the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD). She is also the Chair of Rare Disease International and a Board member of Asia Pacific Rare Disease International. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Editorial Board of The Patient- Patient Centered Outcomes Research and the Global Commission to End the Diagnosis Odyssey for Rare Diseases. She is also a member of the Health Technology Assessment International Patient/Citizen Involvement Interest Group. With a PhD in psychology, she is known for her advocacy work on behalf of patients affected by tainted blood transfusions.
