Daniel Haders, PhD

Dr. Daniel Haders II is the Founder & CEO of Model Medicines, an AI-first biotechnology company engineering first-in-class small-molecule therapeutics against conserved biological choke points. He was recently named one of "The Top 50 Healthcare AI Entrepreneurs of 2025" and featured by Bloomberg Intelligence in their "Vanguards of Healthcare" series. Under Daniel's leadership, Model Medicines has been recognized as a Fierce MedTech "Fierce 15" company, one of GEN's "Ten Companies to Watch in AI Drug Discovery," and selected for the BARDA Accelerator Network. The company's GALILEO™ platform has delivered 67 validated compounds across 12 targets, with two IND-track programs advancing toward the clinic. Previously, Daniel launched a Digital Health Accelerator, building a top-decile early-stage portfolio of 25+ digital healthcare companies. As a scientist at Lux Biosciences, he helped develop a formulation from concept through Phase I that was later FDA-approved as CEQUA in 2018. Daniel has served as a Board Member or Observer at AppliedVR, Regenexx, and Consano Biologics, and is a Faculty Member of the UCSD Digital Health Certificate Program. He holds a BS from Columbia University, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, and a Certificate in Leadership and Strategy from Harvard Business School.
