Dana Foss, PhD, is a scientist-founder building a new class of genetic medicines. Dana is CEO and co-founder of Editpep, a UC Berkeley Innovative Genomics Institute spinout developing a next-generation non-viral delivery platform for in vivo CRISPR medicines. Dana invented Editpep’s proprietary PERC™ technology during her postdoctoral work at UC Berkeley in the laboratory of Ross Wilson and in collaboration with Alex Marson’s laboratory at UCSF, resulting in a publication in Nature Biomedical Engineering. Under Dana’s leadership, Editpep has raised $4.3M, built a world-class team, and is advancing its lead program, a first-in-class allele-selective CRISPR therapeutic for Huntington’s disease, toward development candidate nomination in 2026.
