Dr. Cong Ma has a background in pharmacy and began his career at Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc. He later earned his PhD in Chemistry from the École Polytechnique in France, where he focused on the synthesis of paclitaxel. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT in the USA, his research interests shifted towards biology. He joined the University of Newcastle in Australia as a research fellow, concentrating on bacterial transcription. In 2016, Dr. Ma established his research group at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on drug discovery. More recently, he initiated a research program in AI-assisted drug design, developing several models that are now integral to his drug discovery efforts. Additionally, he co-founded Ynno Med Ltd, a biotech company dedicated to the development of novel antibiotics.
