Chris Frech is the Senior Vice President of Global Government Affairs at Emergent BioSolutions, a global life sciences company which develops, manufactures, and delivers a portfolio of medical countermeasures for biological and chemical threats, as well as emerging infectious diseases. Chris is responsible for managing global government affairs, public policy, community engagement, and the Emergent BioSolutions employee PAC. He also currently serves as the Co-Chair of The Alliance for Biosecurity.
Chris first joined Emergent in February of 2009 as the Vice President of Government Affairs. Prior to joining Emergent, Chris served in the George W. Bush Administration from 2003-2009, most recently as the Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs, overseeing and managing the U.S. House of Representatives legislative affairs team. Prior to his service to the President, Chris was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Rules Committee Associate for the Honorable Deborah Pryce, who represented Ohio’s 15th Congressional District.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Wheeling Jesuit University and a Master’s in Public Policy from West Virginia University. He is a U.S. Forest Service certified wildland firefighter.
