Chenxiang Tang, PhD

Dr. Chenxiang Tang, Chief Executive Officer, has more than 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical R&D, industrialization, and management, with deep and insightful expertise in biochemistry and immunology. He received a dual bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and Economics from Tsinghua University and earned his PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University. Dr. Tang is also an appointed adjunct practice professor at the MBA Center of Shanghai University. He previously helped establish a subsidiary of Hengrui Medicine, MabGen Biotech, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and was responsible for biopharmaceutical process development and pilot-scale manufacturing. He recruited and managed a team of nearly 100 people and advanced more than 20 projects across different stages. He also served as Assistant to the President at Shanghai Mab-Venture Biotech, where he oversaw fundraising efforts, built relationships with nearly 100 investment institutions, and successfully completed a financing round. Earlier, he worked as Assistant to the Chairman of SOHO China, supporting the chairman on a range of matters.
