Dr. Cecilia Monge is Medical Director of Clinical Development at Johnson & Johnson, where she leads oncology clinical research focused on gastrointestinal malignancies. Previously, she served as an Associate Research Physician in the Thoracic and Gastrointestinal Malignancies Branch at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) after completing her oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she received an Outstanding Academic Award. Dr. Monge earned her M.D. from the Universidad de Costa Rica, completed her internal medicine residency at Georgetown University, and holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. A graduate of the Harvard Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program, she is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Monge has received multiple national and international research awards and remains deeply engaged in advancing equitable cancer research and clinical innovation.
