Catherine Cohet, PhD, is a Pharmacoepidemiology Senior Specialist in the Real-world evidence (RWE) Workstream of the Data Analytics & Methods Task Force at the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Her work focuses on all aspects of RWE, including guidance for generation and use of RWE for regulatory decision-making, delivery of non-interventional studies, and vaccine evaluation and public health emergency preparedness as Steering Group member of the EU Vaccine Monitoring Platform. She co-chairs the ENCePP (European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance) and represents EMA in RWE-related collaborations within ICH and the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA). She also acts as member of the EMA Methodology European Specialised Expert Community, and the WHO GACVS (Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety). Before joining EMA in 2020, she held various epidemiology positions in the pharmaceutical industry, and worked as an epidemiologist at the Centre for Public Health Research and the Malaghan Institute for Medical Research in Wellington, New Zealand, and as a scientist at the WHO International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France.
