B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Universidade de Sao Paulo-USP (2012), Master Degree in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology from the Biosciences Institute-USP (2014) and Ph.D. in Genetics from the Biosciences Institute-USP (2019). Awarded Scientist and Entrepreneur of the Year from the Nanocell Institute (2015), for her Master's work with miR-367 as a biomarker for aggressive pediatric cancer and a potential therapeutic target. Awarded Best Doctoral Thesis in Brazil by CAPES (2020), a work that resulted in 2 patent applications and preclinical discoveries with ZIKV. Ms. Kaid has 10 years of research experience in cancer biology and genetics, and is the first author in the world to make two innovative publications on preclinical studies with Zika virus as an oncolytic vector.
