Dr. Rodgers earned his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and trained at the National Institute on Aging. He has almost 3 decades experience leading academic research labs and centers in Pediatric Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins and Molecular Biosciences at Washington State University. He is also the Founder and CEO of AAVogen and has experience evaluating and commercializing novel gene therapeutics, leading preclinical and clinical development and directing industry research programs. He has strong knowledge of FDA requirements and rare diseases, is adept at communicating with regulatory authorities and cultivating relationships with executive leadership, cross-functional colleagues, CROs/CDMOs, funders/investors, research partners and other internal and external stakeholders.
