Bradley Burnam
CEO
Turn Therapeutics
Bradley Burnam is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Turn Therapeutics (Nasdaq: TTRX), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing targeted therapies for dermatology, wound care, and infectious diseases. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and Stanford University, Burnam began his healthcare career in medical device sales with Boston Scientific before joining Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical), where he worked closely with surgeons, physicians, and hospital systems throughout Southern California. His time in the operating room and at the patient bedside provided firsthand insight into both the promise and limitations of existing medical therapies.
Turn Therapeutics was born from a personal medical crisis. While working in the field, Burnam contracted a severe drug-resistant bacterial infection that spread through the cartilage and soft tissue surrounding his ear, resulting in emergency surgery, years of recurrences, repeated procedures, and prolonged periods of daily wound care. Faced with limited treatment options and persistent complications, he began independently studying chemistry, microbiology, and pharmaceutical formulation. Working from a small home laboratory, he developed a novel topical formulation that ultimately helped resolve his condition and became the foundation of Turn Therapeutics’ lead platform technology, GX-03.
Today, Burnam is the inventor on more than 20 issued and pending patents, has led the development of three FDA-cleared products, and leads Turn Therapeutics’ clinical programs in atopic dermatitis and onychomycosis. His work is driven by a simple belief: meaningful innovation often comes from challenging conventional assumptions and focusing relentlessly on unmet patient needs.
