Dr. Robert (Bob) Newman is a transformational leader and recognized biotechnology industry expert whose work has contributed to the development of lifesaving therapies, quality of life improvements, and helped build families. Throughout his career, products that Bob’s teams have developed have generated cumulative revenues of more than $1B and have been used to manufacture several of the highest selling advanced biological therapies around the world. Leveraging experience as a former professional athlete, a Chief Scientific Officer, and through several business leadership positions, Bob has built winning, customer-focused teams that have created solutions for advanced biopharmaceutical production, cell therapies, gene therapies, drug discovery assays, and in vitro fertilization procedures. At multi-national life sciences corporations, Bob has successfully developed and driven strategic initiatives and integrated technologies across companies to achieve synergies from corporate investments totaling more than $1.4B. His work includes multiple functional operational areas including R&D, commercial, business development, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, finance, legal, and human resources. In his past two organizations, Bob has built laboratories and expanded technical capabilities by more than 5-fold. His innovative approach has also built and supported intellectual property portfolios protecting >$700M worth of assets.
