Blake Clough

Blake Clough is the Founder and CEO of Sensory Studios, a company developing virtual reality–based cognitive rehabilitation software for individuals living with traumatic brain injuries, chronic neurological conditions, and complex pain disorders. The platform is designed to help patients regain function, mobility, and independence when conventional treatments fall short. Blake’s path to this work was not academic, it was deeply personal. Following a routine shoulder surgery in December 2023, he developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Amplified Muscular Pain Syndrome, and a traumatic brain injury. Within weeks, he lost most of his vision, the ability to walk, eat, and function independently. Instead of clear guidance or effective care, he encountered a system that offered few answers and little support. Faced with that reality, Blake took his recovery into his own hands. Over the next year and a half, he worked relentlessly to rebuild his abilities, experimenting with approaches when traditional medicine proved insufficient. When virtual reality therapy began producing meaningful improvements, he recognized its potential. On his 21st birthday, while still in recovery himself, Blake founded Sensory Studios and began developing the kind of tools he wished had existed when he needed them most, solutions built not just from theory, but from lived experience, with the goal of ensuring others don’t have to navigate the same path alone.
