Barbara Lueckel, PhD

Barbara Lückel is the Global Head of Research Technologies Partnering and a member of the Roche Corporate Business Development (CBD) leadership team since May 2019. In her role she is working closely with stakeholders across the Genentech and Roche organization to identify the needs for transformative science for target and drug discovery as well as delivery approaches and help set up tailor-made partnerships with biotechs to turn enabling technology and modality platforms into engines for novel medicines making a difference for patients’ lives. Before that, from 2012 onwards, Barbara was a Global Business Development Director in the Innovation Partnering group in Roche Partnering, where she was responsible for the evaluation, negotiation and ultimately alliance management of multiple discovery partnerships for pRED covering different therapeutic modalities in various disease areas. Barbara joined Roche in 2007 as Global drug Delivery Evaluator, after 10 years at Novartis in various roles in technical R&D.
