Dr. Ariel E. Feldstein, M.D., is the Chief Scientific Officer of Internal Medicine and a world-renowned physician-scientist with over two decades of groundbreaking contributions to inflammation and metabolism research, authoring more than 200 peer-reviewed publications. Most recently, he served as Corporate Vice President for Liver and Kidney Diseases at Novo Nordisk, where he led scientific strategy and oversaw discovery research, preclinical innovation, and early clinical development. Ariel earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic before holding roles at the Cleveland Clinic and Rady Children’s Hospital, as well as serving as a tenured professor at UC San Diego. Beyond academia, he founded three biotech companies, including Jecure Therapeutics (acquired by Genentech/Roche in 2018). His blend of scientific expertise, bold thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit has driven transformative progress in therapeutic development.
