With a unique blend of corporate, non-profit and public sector experience Ariane has consistently strived to create and support pathways to economic opportunity and independence for residents in the San Francisco Bay Area. Early in her career, Ariane worked in San Francisco City Hall and in San Francisco’s marginalized and underserved neighborhoods, to advance entrepreneurship as well as job training and placement for residents in those communities. For over two decades, Ariane has served on boards and committees committed to grow and advance economic opportunities and healthy communities in the San Francisco Bay Area including serving as Chair of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA), Vice Chair of San Francisco Planning and Urban Research (SPUR), as well as a member of the Committee to House the Bay Area (a.k.a. CASA), to name a few. Now, as the Head of Local Government Affairs at Genentech, Ariane and her team are committed to developing local partnerships and impactful industry engagement in the places where Genentech employees live and work.
