Anna Zornosa-Heymann, MA, is an advisor to and investor in early-stage companies, with a focus on companies at the intersection of digital technologies and health innovation. She is an Entrepreneur in Residence with the National Institutes of Health, where she coaches award recipients on strategies for raising private sector funds. She also serves as an advisor to the Astia Fund, the Ignite Accelerator, and to various early stage companies. She is also a Limited Partner to investment funds including Bread and Butter Ventures (Fund 3); Ubiquity Ventures (Fund 3) and Portfolia (FemTech Fund II and III.) During her career, she was on the founding teams of 5 start-ups, usually in the role of CEO, and raised over $50 M in venture capital in fundings ranging from seed to advanced rounds. These companies had outcomes that included acquisitions and IPOs. Zornosa has received awards for her work and has been profiled in Fast Company magazine, the Wall Street Journal and AdAge. She was the keynote speaker at the “Women of Influence'' seminar sponsored by the Milwaukee Business Journal in November 2019; and named one of the “100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley'' (Silicon Valley Business Journal.) She has served on numerous for-profit and nonprofit boards. She has her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She lives in Burlingame and Sebastopol, Ca.
