Anjali Gupta, CEO and Co-founder of ANTA Biotech, stands at the forefront of innovation in laboratory technology, boldly challenging conventions with her vision for gravity-agnostic lab instruments. Under her leadership, ANTA Biotech is redefining what’s possible, designing state-of-the-art tools that enable on-demand biosample prep in the most extreme environments — from deep space to remote outposts on Earth. ANTA Biotech is building foundational infrastructure for 21st century biology. Anjali’s career is marked by over two decades of expertise spanning preclinical pharmaceutical development, digital health, and space biology. Her journey through the pharmaceutical world has seen her drive drug discovery from every angle, including pioneering work as an electrophysiologist at Roche, leading high-throughput screening at Vertex, and advancing drug safety testing at Pfizer. With a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Anjali’s scientific contributions have been recognized and supported by the NIH Ruth L. Kirschtein pre-doctoral fellowship and a NASA post-doctoral fellowship focused on space biology. Her academic foundation was built at UC Berkeley. Today, she is fueling breakthroughs that prepare science for the challenges of tomorrow.
