Andrea Nye, MBA

Andrea Nye, MBA, MPH, is CEO of Xylyx Bio, a regenerative medicine company developing bioengineered human organ grafts for life-saving transplantation. Andrea has deep knowledge of the biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship sectors and extensive experience successfully vetting and supporting early-stage ventures working to bring med tech products to market. She has driven successive increases in valuation by achieving critical milestones, raising millions in both equity and non-dilutive funding to finance ongoing R&D and position the company for an exit. Prior to Xylyx, Andrea was Managing Director of Biomedical Innovation in the Columbia University Department of Biomedical Engineering, where she was responsible for the full life cycle of the Columbia Biomedical Technology Accelerator, a fund established to facilitate the commercialization of clinical solutions through the provision of funding, education, and resources to technical teams working to develop and de-risk early-stage technologies. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Xylyx Bio and Sweet Chemistry and is a senior advisor to the NIH dC3i innovation accelerator program. Andrea received a BA from Western Washington University and MBA and MPH degrees from Columbia University Business School and Mailman School of Public Health.
