Amy Liu joined Mubadala Capital in 2021 and is a San Francisco-based investor at Mubadala Ventures. In her role, she focuses on early and growth stage investments in healthcare and life sciences with a focus on biotechnology companies. Prior to Mubadala, Amy worked at BridgeBio Pharma (NASDAQ: BBIO), a biotechnology company focused on genetic diseases, across various corporate development, business development and M&A roles. Amy began her career as a Senior Research Data Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania and helped to spearhead the development of the largest natural history registry for Castleman disease. She has also worked as a sell side analyst at Evercore ISI covering small and mid - cap biotech companies on the #1 Institutional Investor ranked team. Amy has published in several high impact journals such Blood and The Lancet Haematology and has over 400 citations for her research. Amy was a graduate of the Vagelos Life Science and Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania and a recipient of the Vagelos Prize for Achievement in Scientific Research for her work on Castleman disease. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
