Amy House has over 20 years of experience in health care and the life sciences. Currently, she is Head of Portfolio Strategy at Beacon Therapeutics, an ophthalmic gene therapy company founded in 2023. Previously, she was Chief of Staff to the Chief Medical Officer at Gyroscope Therapeutics, a clinical-stage gene therapy company acquired by Novartis in 2022. Amy also has experience in academia, where she developed and managed strategic collaborations for faculty with industry partners and investors at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures. In addition, she spent several years in management consulting, working with health care organizations and life sciences companies across all stages of development. Amy leverages her broad experience to bridge communication between research, the clinic and commercial. She is a collaborative team builder, leader and player committed to mentoring team members at all levels, improving ways of working and creating a positive work culture. Amy has an MBA from Duke University and a BA in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
