Allison Kean, MD

Allison Kean, MD, FACC, FAHA is a board-certified cardiologist and Global Business Development Search and Evaluation Team Leader at Pfizer. In this role, she leads sourcing and due diligence for Business Development opportunities across a variety of therapeutic areas including Pfizer’s Internal Medicine business. Since joining Pfizer, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in both Medical and Business Development, notably serving on Pfizer’s CV Safety Council, chairing the Lipitor Investigator-Initiated Research Program, and leading due diligence for licensing and acquisition transactions including the 2022 acquisition of Biohaven Pharmaceuticals. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association (AHA), Dr. Kean serves on the Harvard Kennedy School Women’s Leadership Board with prior Board roles at Swiss immune-tolerance company Anokion and the Los Angeles AHA. She previously spent over 15 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Cardiology at the UCLA School of Medicine where she practiced at the UCLA Heart Failure and Transplant Center. She received her B.A. as a Thomas Jefferson Scholar from the University of Virginia, her M.D. from Medical College of Pennsylvania, and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Northwestern University.
