Albert John “A.J.” Allen, MD, PhD — Child and adolescent psychiatrist, pharmacologist, and longtime champion of pediatric drug development. He became Chief Medical Officer at I-ACT (Institute for Advanced Clinical Trials for Children) after a distinguished career at Eli Lilly, where he led pediatric efforts in neuroscience, ethics, and safety. He is a past chair of BIO’s Pediatric Committee, a member of SACHRP’s Subcommittee on Harmonization, and played key roles in policy development around pediatric research and ethics.
