I have broad scientific experience, leadership training and entrepreneurial motivation in the areas of gastroenterology, immunology and biotechnology development over the course of 10 years. With a strong background in big data analysis and high-throughput sequencing, I started my graduate school research at Columbia University where I pursue new lines of research in the field of gastroenterology and immunology. As a post-doctoral researcher at Columbia University, I investigated the status and behaviors of host exfoliated cells in stool samples and developed a platform technology for non-invasive exfoliome sequencing, and this academic scientific experience brought me to the exciting biotech industry. In 2023, I founded Foli Bio and became its CEO & CTO. The main focus of my company is applying exfoliome platform technology to accelerate drug development and help patients with gastrointestinal disorders. My academic accomplishments, together with my managerial and leadership training and experience, equip me with the knowledge and expertise that are required to effectively execute and develop a platform technology project like this. I believe Foli Bio’s platform great potential to transform future gastrointestinal drug development and will substantially benefit larger population of patients.
