Prof Trent Munro is a distinguished biotechnology professional with over 25 years of experience in research and development, particularly in the biopharmaceutical sector. He currently holds prominent leadership roles, serving as Chair, Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) and as an Industry Professor and Director, Biotechnology Innovation at The University of Queensland (UQ). At LSQ, Professor Munro leads initiatives to foster a dynamic and internationally competitive life sciences industry in Queensland, Australia, facilitating collaboration among industry stakeholders to drive business growth and innovation. Professor Munro's career includes significant positions such as Senior Vice President of Therapeutics at Microba, Director of the National Biologics Facility, and Program Director of the CEPI-funded Rapid Response Vaccine pipeline.
