Dr. Stanley SeungSuh Hong earned his Ph.D from Seoul National Univ, majoring Enzymology and Biochemical Engineering. He was further trained at Univ of Wisconsin as a Post-doctoral fellow, and at that time he worked in Molecular Biology area. Dr. Hong has been working in Biopharmaceutical industry about 40 years as a scientist as well as marketing/sales person. He worked for Samyang Genex in Korea where he developed Paclitaxel using plant cell culture technology. Then he worked for Celltrion (a mAb based Biosimilar company in Korea) about 18 years. Dr. Hong was the President of R&D at Celltrion and led all Biosimilar development activities, and successfully launched the first mAb Biosimilar in global territories. Then he became the CEO of Celltrion Healthcare (now merged with Celltrion) and led global marketing and sales of mAb Biosimilar products. Dr. Hong worked for a couple of other Biotech companies in Korea, and now is the Vice Chairman (CSO/COO) at CentricsBio which is developing mAb Immunotherapeutics Stanley Hong was awarded “Silver medal from Korean Government” in 2015.
