Sabrina Johnson founded Daré Bioscience in 2015, serving as President, CEO, and Board member since its inception and following the 2017 merger with Cerulean Pharma. Dedicated to advancing women’s healthcare, she previously led WomanCare Global Trading and held executive roles at Cypress Bioscience, contributing to its acquisition. She began her career as a research scientist at Baxter Healthcare and later worked in marketing at Advanced Tissue Sciences and Clonetics Corporation. Johnson serves on the boards of ATAI Life Sciences, Biocom California, and the Clearity Foundation, and advises Tulane University’s School of Science & Engineering. She holds degrees from Thunderbird, University College London, and Tulane University. Ms. Johnson received the Athena Life Science Award in 2017 for her contributions to women in STEM, along with the MOXIE Award for community impact. She was also named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year San Diego finalist (2018) and won the Pacific Southwest Region Award (2022). Additional honors include recognition in the PharmaVoice 100 (2019), the Medicine Maker’s Power List (2022), and Endpoints' Women in Biopharma (2022). In 2023, she was listed among San Diego Business Journal’s Women of Influence and Fierce Pharma’s Most Influential People in Biopharma.
