Robin Harper Cowie has served as Chief Financial Officer for Biodesix since April 2017. During her time in the head financial role, the Company raised multiple private financings, completed two successful acquisitions in 2018 and 2019, an IPO in 2020, and a variety of public financings to help facilitate the growth and development of the company to further its mission to help transform the standard of care in lung cancer. Ms. Harper Cowie has been with Biodesix in multiple financial and reimbursement positions since March 2011, bringing a depth of experience in finance, government policy, reimbursement, operations, and health economics. Along with this depth of experience, she brings a passion and personal mission to bring access to Biodesix diagnostic testing for every person who needs them. Prior to joining Biodesix, Ms. Harper Cowie held a leadership role in payer and government relations at Precision Therapeutics, Inc. Additionally, she spent several years as a laboratory researcher at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center researching migraine, epilepsy, and ALS. Ms. Harper Cowie holds a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA in Finance from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business from the University of Pittsburgh.
