Rick Martel serves as the Director of Downstream Manufacturing in the Single Use Facility for Bristol Myers Squibb’s Devens, MA, facility. He has over 19 years of experience in Biologics Development, Technical Support and Managing Biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and teams. Rick has been a major contributor to the Devens University Relations team which focuses on traditional and non-traditional hiring pathways. Rick currently is the co-sponsor of the University Relations Team. He was the co-lead of the team that launched the apprenticeship program at BMS in partnership with MassBioEd. Rick has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in biotechnology management from the University of Maryland.
