Nicolas Tambucho is a biotechnology engineer and CEO of GUSKA, an AI-biotech startup developing synthetic RNA oncolytic viruses for cancer therapy. He brings over a decade of experience leading biotech ventures at the intersection of science and business. Prior to founding GUSKA, Nicolas was CEO and COO of RADBIO, a biotech company developing a novel biomolecule for fibrotic diseases, where he led early-stage development and secured non-dilutive and private funding. At GUSKA, Nicolás is driving the company’s transition from academic innovation to scalable therapeutic development, leveraging a proprietary AI platform and collaborations with world-class scientists. Together with GUSKA's co-founders, Dr. Pilar Moreno and Dr. Gonzalo Moratorio, international recognized virologists, his leadership is focused on building a platform that not only delivers first-in-class therapeutics but also positions GUSKA as a long-term player in the field of RNA-based cancer therapies. Nicolas holds a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and has participated in various international entrepreneurship and biotech programs He is passionate about bridging Uruguayan and Latin American innovation with global biotech ecosystems and is currently leading GUSKA’s expansion into new ecosystems.
