Michael J. Partsch has over 34 years of experience in venture investing and start-up company development in the life sciences industry. Mike’s venture capital experience spans four firms: Accuitive Medical Ventures, Versant Ventures, EDF Ventures, and the CEO Venture Fund. Additionally, Mike was selected as a Kauffman Fellow, a two-year post-graduate fellowship in venture capital sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation. In 2018, Mike joined the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) as their inaMike is responsible for new initiatives around company creation and business development initiatives regarding WARF Therapeutics, WARF's academic drug discovery platform. Mike’s entrepreneurial activity began when he was an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania where he helped start Neose Technologies. He continued with the firm through his college years and transitioned after graduation to a scientist at the firm, where he helped lay the foundation for much of the critical biochemistry for Neose’s early projects. Neose went public in 1996 (NASDAQ:NTEC). Mike received a dual major Bachelor's degree in Biology and Philosophy of Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University with dual concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
