Michele Slafkosky is the Executive Director of Families Fighting Flu, a national nonprofit founded by families personally impacted by influenza. For over 20 years, the organization has been dedicated to saving lives and reducing hospitalizations through education, advocacy, and promotion of flu prevention. Since joining the organization in March 2019, Michele has brought over 25 years of experience in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and public education to advance flu awareness and vaccine confidence. A passionate grassroots advocate, she leads initiatives to empower communities with real-life stories and resources that underscore the seriousness of the flu and the importance of vaccination.
Prior to Families Fighting Flu, Michele served as Regional Director at the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, where she honed her passion for collaboration and public outreach. Michele attended Purdue University where she met her husband and currently lives with her family in New Hampshire. When not working on flu prevention, she enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones in New England.
