Michael A. Margolis, R.Ph., is Oppenheimer’s senior managing director, head of healthcare and head of healthcare life science investment banking. Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in the life sciences sector with over 19 years as an investment banker. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Michael served as the head of healthcare investment banking at Roth Capital Partners and as a managing director at Merriman Curhan Ford Group. Before becoming an Investment Banker, Michael worked in the pharmaceutical industry with several roles at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, including as a director in the Global Business Development and Licensing group, and at Eli Lilly as a senior pharmaceutical representative. He also served as a buy-side equity research analyst at Ursus Capital. Mr. Margolis is a registered pharmacist and holds an M.B.A. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a pharmacy degree from Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy.
