Michael Elmore holds the position of Global Chief Information Security Officer at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
From 2016-2018, he held the position of Chief Customer Experience Officer, within the Enterprise Network & Security Product Management at Cisco.
At Cisco, he and his global team were chartered with driving customer insights into product development, representing $17B+ in annual revenue. In this capacity, he was accountable for Network Security, Competitive Intelligence, Customer Success and Adoption, along with the Go-To-Market strategy in China. Michael led the successful acquisition of Viptela ($625M) and preserved the market share of Cisco’s $5B Secure Routing business.
Michael has spent his career on both the customer-side and sell-side of the desk, delivering modern infrastructure architectures and security programs, while executing cost optimization and service quality improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives. Prior to joining Cisco, Michael held various executive leadership roles at Cigna Healthcare from 2011-2016, including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and VP of Global Enterprise Network and Contact Center Engineering. At Cigna, he and his team executed the successful insourcing of the voice, contact center, data network, and network security resulting in $50M+ in annualized run rate savings, while reducing risk and the cyber attack surface.
