Matt Truppo, Ph.D. Global Head of Research Platforms and Computational R&D, Sanofi With a career spanning over two decades in pharmaceutical R&D, Matt has experience in developing and applying innovative solutions across the entire spectrum of drug discovery, development and manufacturing platforms. Joining Sanofi in 2021, his current role is to oversee the full range of research platform capabilities as well as drive Sanofi’s R&D digital transformation roadmap, employing AI-powered methodologies to optimize and accelerate R&D processes and tackle complex drug design and delivery challenges. The end goal: to bring transformative therapies to patients faster than ever before. Matt’s experience ranges from leading global, multidisciplinary teams of >1,000 people across different functions and interfaces, serving on the boards of multiple international consortia and scientific advisory boards, public speaking, and authoring >60 publications and patents. Prior to joining Sanofi, Matt was Vice President at J&J leading Protein Therapeutics Development and Biologics Discovery. Prior to that he spent 17 years at Merck. His personal goal is to improve human health worldwide through the discovery, development and successful application of innovative science. In his quest to achieve this, he has to-date been instrumental in R&D leading to 13 marketed products with >10 more currently progressing in clinical trials.
