Madhuri (Mani) is partner at Cooley LLP. She focuses her practice on developing and implementing comprehensive patent portfolio strategies for life science companies, at various points in their life cycles. This work includes strategic patent counseling, patent preparation and prosecution, and intellectual property due diligence in the context of financings and strategic partnerships. Her work spans the space of therapeutics, genomics, diagnostics, platform technologies, and artificial intelligence. Mani is also routinely sought out for performing investor-side due diligence work, patent portfolio pressure testing, and pre-litigation analyses involving questions of validity and non-infringement. Mani holds a Ph.D. in the biological sciences and brings 10+ years of integrative biotechnology experience to her legal practice. She has industry experience in mid-size and large biotech companies in the areas of discovery, target validation, and in vivo pharmacology. She has also conducted academic research in the molecular and cellular aspects of neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases. She has authored numerous scientific publications.
