Life Sciences Workforce Collaborative (LSWC)
Liisa Bozinovic is a national leader at the intersection of bioscience innovation, workforce development, and economic strategy. She serves as Executive Director of the Oregon Bioscience Association and as Co-Founder and Chair of the Life Sciences Workforce Collaborative (LSWC), a national nonprofit coalition of state and regional bioscience associations and institutes working together to build a competitive, inclusive, and future-ready life sciences workforce.
Her work bridges state, national, and international efforts to strengthen bioscience economies. Under her leadership, Oregon Bio has helped secure major industry investments, launch statewide training initiatives, and elevate the state’s national profile. Through LSWC, Liisa is advancing data-driven strategies and collaborative programs that connect industry, academia, and government to transform how the sector defines, attracts, and develops talent.
She began her career as a CPA after earning an accounting degree from Michigan State University and later held leadership roles in medical device manufacturing, drug discovery, and a California-based bioscience trade association before joining Oregon Bio in 2019.
Liisa serves on Oregon’s Workforce and Talent Development Board, the national advisory council for InnovATEBIO, and advisory boards for Portland Community College and Oregon State University. She is also co-founder of the Boz Life Science Research Institute, which has delivered research experiences to more than 1,200 students in California, Oregon, and Croatia.
