Leah joined Takeda in 2023 as the lead for the R&D Science Philanthropy in the Office of the R&D Chief of Staff. She facilitates partnerships with nonprofit organizations that focus on supporting an inclusive pipeline of STEM talent—from college through early career—to drive innovation, cultivate trust, and create better health and a brighter future for all. She also manages Takeda’s Innovators in Science Awards. Prior to Takeda, Leah was acting CEO and VP of External Relations at Seeding Labs, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on building R&D capacity at universities in developing countries. A journalist by training, she has also held communications and PR roles in higher education and nonprofit organizations, including Harvard Medical School, Boston College, and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
