Laurel Todd has nearly twenty years of healthcare policy and advocacy experience earned through positions within the Federal government, biopharmaceutical companies, industry trade organization and consulting. She currently serves as Vice President, US Market Access and Policy at Iovance Biotherapeutics. In this role, she oversees market access strategy and operations, payer access for cell therapy and government affairs and policy. Prior to joining Iovance, she was in similar roles with the biopharmaceutical firms Incyte, TESARO and Gilead Sciences. Previously, Laurel spent nearly 10 years with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) leading healthcare and reimbursement policy development and advocacy. Prior to BIO, Laurel spent time consulting on federal health policy. She began her DC career working for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services during the implementation of the Medicare Modernization Act which established the Part D program and reformed the Part B drug payment methodology.
Laurel earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania: B.S. in Economics, Health Care Management and Policy and a B.A. in Sociology of Health and Medicine. She also earned an MBA from Georgetown University.
