Katy Parker serves as the Director of Project Management at the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), where she brings over a decade of experience in business recruitment and economic development. Since joining EDPNC in 2014, Katy has played a pivotal role in attracting transformative investments to the state, including landmark projects by FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, Amgen, Wolfspeed, IDEXX Laboratories, Reckitt Benckiser, and Siemens Energy. Katy began her tenure at EDPNC as a Small Business Advisor before advancing through several key roles within the Business Recruitment team. In her current leadership position, she collaborates closely with both the Business Recruitment and Existing Industry teams to ensure North Carolina maintains its reputation for best-in-class project management and economic competitiveness. Before her work in economic development, Katy was involved in clean transportation and biofuels manufacturing, reflecting her long-standing commitment to sustainability and innovation. A proud North Carolina native, she holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sustainable Development and Spanish from Appalachian State University. Outside of her professional achievements, Katy is the devoted mother of two daughters who keep life interesting, dynamic, and joyful.
